Matt Alonzo was elected to the Lindbergh Schools Board of Education in 2017. He has served on many board advisory committees, including technology, student life, facilities and human resources. At the school level, Alonzo has volunteered with Dads of Kennerly, Dads of Dressel and as a Community Education and Recreation coach.

As an educator, Alonzo sees firsthand the importance a strong administrative team plays in the success of a school district. He serves on the board to give back to the community by offering his own expertise and experiences in education.

When asked why he loves Lindbergh, Alonzo said of the many wonderful things that he loves about Lindbergh Schools, what he loves the most are all the Lindbergh employees that make our schools the very best in the area.

Megan Vedder was elected to the Lindbergh Schools Board of Education in 2021. She is a member of the student life board advisory committee, and she serves to be a part of the trajectory that Lindbergh is making toward innovation, equity and excellence.

With two young children entering the district, Vedder feels invested in this community and wants to make it a priority to listen and voice her concerns. As a board member, she can serve as an advocate for the success and safety of Lindbergh students, teachers and staff.

Vedder said what she loves most about Lindbergh is that it’s a community that continues to learn and grow together. Every person involved in the district shows courage, care and determination for improvement. She loves being with a community of lifelong learners.

Julia Voss was elected to the Lindbergh Schools Board of Education in 2022. Voss and her family moved into the area eight years ago so her three children could attend Lindbergh Schools. She has one child that attends Sappington Elementary, two at Truman Middle School, and her husband Kurt is a graduate of Lindbergh High School.

Voss volunteers with class parties, field trips, family reading days, and supports PTO, Dad's club and district events. She is currently serving on the following Board Advisory Committees: Finance, Student Life and Technology.

Her areas of focus include finding ways to support teachers with reading and math instruction in the classroom; supporting initiatives that help students feel safe, both physically and emotionally; and promoting initiatives that give students a wide variety of learning experiences and create a space for all students to succeed.

Voss works as an attorney, overseeing the review of digital evidence in litigation. Her own job did not exist at her firm ten years ago, so she understands the need to ensure our students are learning skills that will help them succeed in a rapidly changing work environment.

Andrew Lawson was elected to the Lindbergh Schools Board of Education in 2023 and is an active member of the Lindbergh community. Prior to serving on the board, Lawson was a member of Dads of Concord, and a volunteer coach for both soccer and basketball through Lindbergh Community Education.

As a board member, Lawson seeks to influence the district’s evolution and continuous improvement, and advocate to provide exceptional education for every student in the district, today and in the future. He believes that the district’s staff, facilities, commitment to student safety, and vision for the future are what make Lindbergh great.

Christy Watz was elected to the Lindbergh Schools Board of Education in 2017. When her children were in elementary and middle school, Watz served many positions in the Kennerly Elementary School and Sperreng Middle School parent groups.

On the board, she continues to serve on advisory committees such as teaching and learning, student life, MSBA delegate, and volunteers at Lindbergh High School. Watz also volunteers with Step UP of St. Louis. She was selected as a 2019 Lindbergh Leader, which is the district’s highest honor recognizing excellence in leadership and service.

Creating positive change to move our district into a more competitive, innovative environment that continues to attract diverse families is her primary reason for serving on the board. Watz said she loves that Lindbergh has a great community feeling, the passion from stakeholders for the district, the strong alumni group and the overall desire from our community to do what is best for kids.

Jennifer Miller was elected to the Lindbergh Schools Board of Education in 2016. When her first child began attending Lindbergh Schools, she started volunteering at the school level as a room party coordinator, Junior Achievement classroom facilitator, field trip chaperone, Jump Rope for Heart coordinator, and for various fundraising and special events.

As Miller’s children have grown, so has her involvement with the district. Along with serving on the Board of Education and advisory committees, she continues to volunteer with Concord Elementary School and Sperreng Middle School’s parent groups. Miller also serves as Lindbergh’s representative and chair of the Special School District’s Governing Council.

She ran for the board to bring the perspective of a parent with young children to the district level and wants to help facilitate open communication and dialogue with all stakeholders to create positive change.

Rachel Braaf Koehler was elected to the Lindbergh Schools Board of Education in 2024. 

She is a 1992 graduate of Lindbergh High School, and the parent of a 2023 graduate and a freshman at LHS. Koehler is a 2023 Lindbergh Leader award recipient, the district’s highest honor recognizing excellence in leadership and service.

Prior to serving on the board, Koehler held numerous volunteer positions throughout the Lindbergh community. While her children were younger, she served on the executive boards of Long Elementary PTO, Truman Middle School PTG, and LEAP PTG.  At Lindbergh High School, she volunteered in several positions with the Lindbergh Strolling Strings Alliance, including serving as treasurer and president, and was a parent volunteer for the LHS Theater Department. At the district level, she was a member of the Teaching and Learning Board Advisory Committee, the School Start Times Task Force, and the Secondary Gifted Task Force. Koehler is a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts and served as a volunteer with Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri for 14 years, earning several adult recognition awards and proudly serving as her daughter’s troop leader from kindergarten through 12^th grade. 

As a board member, Koehler serves on the Finance and Student Life Board Advisory committees. She is also a member of the Lindbergh Communications Planning Committee.

Koehler ran for the board with a strong desire to give back and contribute to the continued success of Lindbergh Schools. Her experience as an alum, as a Lindbergh parent, and as an extensive volunteer in Lindbergh Schools and the greater Lindbergh community motivates her to ensure every student receives a high-quality educational experience in a positive learning environment.
